| Today's entry actually contains pictures of work that occurred yesterday (the 3rd) and today, the 4th. |
Yesterday, along with work like staining the threshold and painting the doorframes, Tim and Chris put up the cabinets on either side of the window, and added an oak soffit between them. |
Here's a wider shot of them, taken from the doorway between the kitchen and living room. Note the lack of countertops. "People" will be coming tomorrow to make cardboard templates of counters, and the real counters will be made from them. This method will make the counters fit right in spite of the loosey-goosey angles used when the house was built. |
Tim began trimming out the window yesterday, and finished today. He even added a nice windowsill for Sue to clutter. |
Chris began installing baseboards and cabinet toe-kicks today. Here is one of the baseboards... |
...and here is another. No, I am not taking pictures of all of them. |
Yesterday, Chris was busy installing the cabinet and drawer pulls that Sue and I picked out at Home Depot on Sunday. |
One more shot of them. |
The refrigerator enclosure was installed today, along with the over-refrigerator cabinets. That gap above the cabinets will be filled with an oak panel. It has to be ordered, and may take a few days to get here. |
Here's another angle of the refrigerator enclosure and cabinets. |
...and, the dishwasher finally made it from the garage to the house. It's not attached or functional, but it's getting there. |
