The floor tile installation began today.  Hoorah!

This picture was taken from the doorway to the living room, looking into the southwaes corner of the kitchen.

I have been accused of choosing a tile that is the same color as spilled coffee.  Not true!  Not true!  That's my story, and I am sticking to it.

This was taken from the doorway to the basement steps.  The bare spot to the left is the walkway left for us.  This will be tiled over tomorrow, and Sue and I will need to use the front door to go around the house to use the basement...for one night only.

In case anyone is actually interested, here is the final form of the temporary kitchen.

Three shelving units, one 48 inch folding table, one water cooler, a trashcan, and a fridge.  It is not pretty, but it works.

I actually priced portable camping sinks, but I didn't think that the ones I saw would actually make things easier.  So, no sink.

All of the shelves, tables, and bins have future uses planned for them.
